Day of

Checkpoints

Redeem food, swag, or add-ons at stations with clear entitlement rules.

Checkpoints are stations after the main door (lunch lines, swag tables, workshop rooms), each with its own scan rules. Use them when “got in the building” is not enough; you need to know if this person may redeem a specific benefit.

When to use checkpoints

Food & drink

Lunch or dinner redemption so each ticket gets one meal.

Swag pickup

T-shirts and goodies without double claims.

Session entry

Limited rooms or workshops that need capacity control.

Add-ons

Benefits sold with the ticket or as upgrades.

If you only need door arrival, Check-in alone is enough.

Entitlements

Each checkpoint checks whether the attendee’s ticket or add-ons allow redemption. Staff see a clear yes/no instead of guessing from a spreadsheet.

That means ticket setup matters: if VIP includes lunch and General does not, configure entitlements so the lunch station enforces it.

Operating a station

  1. Open the station view

Launch the checkpoint view for that station on a phone or tablet.

  2. Scan or look up

Scan the attendee or search by name / code.

  3. Confirm redemption

Complete redemption when entitlement is valid. If denied, direct the guest to help desk rather than arguing at the table.
